Quilt Festival

Hello! It's been too long. I went to the Houston International Quilt Festival in November with some good friends and picked up a few (hundred) things. No more fabric purchases for a while!! It was so fun. I also had my picture taken with Eleanor Burns (it's a tradition now). For some reason, I'm unable to upload photos...but I will keep trying.

Birthday doll quilt with pillow

This was a little doll quilt with a matching pillow made for an 8 year old's birthday party. I said to the little girl, "Do you play with dolls?" and she said "No." She's a very sweet little girl, so I'm hoping a stuffed animal or her little dog will at least get some use out of this present. : )

Superbuzzy super fun!

Found this great give away on line today. Check out all the cool things they have for sale. I found some matryoshka patches that are so super cute!!! They would look great sewn on the pocket of a sweet little toddler's jean.

quilt in progress

This is the next quilt I'm working on. It will hang in the entry way. Almost every quilt I have made is to give away, so I'm happy to have one to keep. I have two other unfinished quilts that I need to finish as well. My goal is 12 quilts finished this year. Does the doll quilt count???

Two quilts down

I finished two quilts this week. It's spring break and I'm feeling good. The baby quilt is for my great nephew and the the doll quilt is for his older sister. They were made from my stash--nothing purchased. I'm going to try and use fabric from my stash this year (no purchases) until maybe the big quilt show in November. And I want to see how many quilts I can actually get done.
